Creative Nation Music Showcase Tour Featured In The Hartford Courant

The Hartford Courant‘s Owen McNally writes about the Creative Nation Music Showcase Tour’s Saturday night stop at Hartford’s Real Art Ways in the March 19th edition of his weekly jazz column, Riffs.

This event, part of the New England tour celebrating Creative Nation Music‘s fifth anniversary, will feature the Garrison Fewell/Eric Hofbauer Duo and Eric Hofbauer and The Infrared Band.

On Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m., Boston-based guitarist/composer Eric Hofbauer will be interviewed on West Hartford’s WWUH 91.3 FM.

The interview, which will preview Hofbauer’s performance at Real Art Ways on Saturday, March 21st as part of Creative Nation Music‘s showcase tour of New England, will be conducted by the station’s jazz director, Chuck Obuchowski, on his weekly program, “Out Here & Beyond”.

Hofbauer will perform with both the Garrison Fewell/Eric Hofbauer Duo and Eric Hofbauer & The Infrared Band on Saturday night beginning at 8:00 p.m.

Today’s featured jazz video at AllAboutJazz.com is Eric Hofbauer & The Infrared Band performing “Jac Mac Talkin'” at The Lily Pad in Cambridge, MA in November 2007.

That track appears on the band’s 2008 debut, Myth Understanding (Creative Nation Music).

The group will next perform at Hartford’s Real Art Ways on March 21st, as part of the Creative Nation Music Showcase Tour, followed by an appearance on the second night of the Creative Nation Music Festival at the Cambridge Family YMCA Theatre in Cambridge, MA on March 29th.

Hartford Date Added To Creative Nation Music Showcase Tour

Garrison Fewell/Eric Hofbauer Duo

Boston’s Creative Nation Music has added a fourth date to its Creative Nation Music Showcase Tour, a fifth anniversary package tour of New England featuring artists from its roster.

The Garrison Fewell/Eric Hofbauer Duo and Eric Hofbauer & The Infrared Band will perform at Real Art Ways in Hartford, CT on Saturday, March 21st.

The tour, which kicked-off on February 4th at The Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theatre in Pawtucket, RI, also features stops at the West End Studio Theatre in Portsmouth, NH (February 28th) and the Cambridge Family YMCA Theater in Cambridge, MA (March 29th).

The label’s fifth anniversary celebration also includes new releases from Garrison Fewell and The Ayn Inserto Jazz Orchestra (coming February 17th), as well as the launch of a new series of rare, never-before-released and reissued music called The Hub Collection.
